The Pontiac Community Art Center is not only the location where travelers can claim their Red Carpet Corridor souvenir for 2018, but they are also hosting events for Saturday.

Vickie Fitzgerald, president of the Greater Livingston County Arts Council, describes what they’re doing.

“The Art Center is going to host their second annual ‘Steam Punk made from Junk’ booth. That is downtown on the square. We will have a tent there with a big sign and you can stop by our tent and make a piece of jewelry or a piece of art in the steam punk style. It’s a free event, so we encourage a lot of people to come out for that.  Also at the Art Center on the 5th, we’re opening a new show at the Joe Bailey Gallery and it’s a collaboration between Pontiac’s Illinois State Poetry Society and our artists,” Fitzgerald said.

The art center is located at 209 W. Madison Street in Pontiac.
