The PTHS Key Club was guests of the Pontiac Kiwanis Club Wednesday and told of the work they’ve done this year.
Advisor Jack Bristow discussed all the activities they take part in, both at the school and in the community, and described the people who make perfect members.
“The qualities of a Key Club member? You don’t have to be outgoing. We will make you that way. But we need people who are caring. We need people who are willing to work. We need people who are dedicated to whatever they are involved in. Time management is a byproduct, I think, of Key Club. I don’t think it’s something you need to come in with. We will teach you that, because it seems like the typical Key Clubber is involved in a lot of things. There are very few who are one dimensional and only Key Club. We share with a lot of other organizations, sports and activities. A Key Clubber is a caring person who wants to get involved in the community,” Bristow said.
The group said they’re looking forward to summer activities like Summerfest and some park clean up with the Kiwanis Club.
