Red Carpet activities in Odell, Chenoa Saturday

By Cynthia Grau/WJEZ News

The Red Carpet Corridor is heading down Route 66 and area communities are celebrating with all the 13 that participate along the stretch of the Mother Road.

Odell has the historic 1932 Standard Oil Station to visit, along with a historic subway. They also have a chance for travelers to pick up this year’s Red Carpet souvenir. For more information about Odell events, call 998-2133.

After visiting Pontiac, the next stop is Chenoa, which will have a flea market, a cruise-in sponsored by Midwest Real Street Machines, inflatables for children, food and live music. The Chenoa Women’s Club is sponsoring a town-wide garage sale Friday and Saturday and the place to pick up your Red Carpet Souvenir is at the booth in front of the vendor tent.
