The Pointe at Pontiac, an assisted living facility, has partnered with the Livingston County Humane Society to host a pet adoption event from 11 to 2 Saturday.
Peg Spear, regional marketing director for the Pointe, explains why they’re having this event.
“We’re very, very excited to be a part of this event, not only to benefit the Livingston County Humane Society, but also to let the community know the Pointe at Pontiac is a pet friendly community. So, we do accept pets so the residents can continue to have their loved one with them,” Spear said.
She also talked about the other activities that are happening that day.
“We are hosting a Cutest Pet contest and will have prizes for first, second and third, so bring out your furry friend and we’ll have our residents be the judges. We’re also having a bake sale and we’re doing some pet photos and we’re also having hot dogs, lemon shake-ups and just asking for donations for the humane society,” Spear said.
The Pointe at Pontiac is located at 120 N. Deerfield Road.
