Pontiac District 429 will be hosting a family bicycle rodeo in partnership with the University of Illinois Livingston County 4H Saturday from 9 to noon.

The day will revolve around bicycle safety and the rules of the road. Activities planned include a bicycle obstacle course, free bike registration with Pontiac Police, bike skills tests, giveaways and a bicycle decorating station.

Attendees are asked to wear closed-toe shoes for safety.

That same day, from 8 to 1, there will also be a buy one get one Scholastic Book Fair at Central School. Books will be available for all ages and funds raised will be used to help fund educational materials for students.

Central School is located at 117 W. Livingston Street in Pontiac. People are asked to enter the blacktop from the Main Street side of the playground gates.
