Livingston Workforce Services will be holding a spring job fair at the Illinois Army National Guard Armory in Pontiac Wednesday from 10 to noon.

Outreach and Business Services Specialist Triscia Brubaker explained the event.

“We have 19 employers expected to be there at this point. They’re going to be reviewing resumes, talking with job seekers who are interested in working for them, talking the more about what job opportunities they have, what are some of the requirements they need to know in order to apply, and kind of getting a first impression on who may be interested in working for them,” Brubaker said.

She also talked about the kind of businesses that would be there.

“Some of the unique ones we have is the United States Postal services. We have a recruiter from there who is going to come out and give hints and tips on how to apply. We also have the Fox Development Center from Dwight, if you’re interested in working for the State of Illinois. Then we have some healthcare providers. There’s a very big need in healthcare right now. Then some manufacturing,” Brubaker said.
