An enhanced security system at Pontiac’s District 90 will help district employees monitor visitors. Superintendent Jon Kilgore told WJEZ that the RAPTOR system, a system currently in use at other area districts including Pontiac’s District 429, was recommended by School Resource Officer Brian Enderli. After asssessing the system’s capabilities and cost, the district made the decision to install the system at the PTHS main entrance, as well as the main entrance for the LACC. Kilgore says visitors who sign in will be given a temporary photo ID that states who they are and what their business is at PTHS or the LACC. Kilgore says the system is currently in its testing phase and should be fully implemented by the end of the month.
