Pontiac, Prairie Central, Fieldcrest, and Dwight are putting the finishing touches on their game plans today because tonight and tomorrow they’re in the land of one-and-done.
Dwight travels to Lisle Friday night. The Trojans are seeded #13 with a 6 and 3 record, while Lisle comes to the postseason at #4 with an 8 and 1 record. Dwight and Lisle will square off at 6:55 on Classic Hits, 98.9, WJEZ.
Prairie Central’s Hawks are 7 and 2 and traveling to Murphysboro, also finishing the regular season 7 and 2. The Hawks are seeded #11 while Murphysboro sits at #4. Murphysboro has home field advantage and the game is set for 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon.
Fieldcrest, 5-4, will take on Orion at 1 o’clock Saturday. The Knights are a 15 seed facing the undefeated, #2 seeded Chargers at their home field.
The Pontiac Indians, 8 and 1, are the only area team seeded higher than their opponent. #4 Pontiac will take on #12 Herrin, 7 and 2, at Williamson Field at Pontiac. You can hear game coverage on Classic Hits, 98.9, WJEZ at 2:55 on Saturday afternoon.
