Clocks in central Illinois should be moved ahead one hour this weekend. The official time for the change is 2:00 a.m. on the 12th, but, of course, individuals can reset their clocks at the time that’s most convenient for them.
There is legislation pending in both houses of Congress that would abolish the practice of changing the clocks. The idea reportedly has strong bi-partisan support. Bills have been proposed in the past, but they’ve never garnered the votes necessary to permanently put the country on Daylight Saving Time.
