Pontiac’s historic Jones House on Madison Street will be holding its Christmas Open House Saturday from 4 to 7.
The rooms in the home are decorated with items that represent the holidays during the Civil War Era and Brenda Tompson, volunteer at the Jones House, said the tour will be a little different than tours during any other part of the year.
“I think the fact that, between 4 and 7, the house at this time of year, is kind of dark, so it’s going to be dim and not like they see it during the summer, with bright light shining in. So, this will be a more nostalgic walk through the house,” Thompson said.
The tour is free of charge, but they do accept donations that will benefit the upkeep of the home.
