The Tuesday after Thanksgiving is known as Giving Tuesday, and the United Way of Livingston County kept busy collecting donations.

Sarah Selmeyer, president of the United Way of Livingston County Board, was excited to see all the donations coming to the organization.

“We had an exciting way to spend the day by coming out to IRH and Futures, Unlimited, to accept their donations. Giving Tuesday is the perfect time, after our Black Friday shopping and Cyber Monday and now today’s the day to give back to the charities that you find most important to you in your life, and the United Way covers 18 of those. The United Way supports all Livingston County organizations. We make sure the money is spent here, so if you give here, it’s going to go to help people who live here,” Selmeyer said.
