Rookie Jordan Howard rushed for 117 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead the Chicago Bears to a 26-6 win over San Francisco on a snowy day at Soldier Field.

In the snow at Lambeau Field, the Green Bay Packers beat the Texans 21-13.

Detroit’s 28-13 win over the New Orleans Saints gives the Lions the lead in the NFC North by two games over the Packers and Minnesota Vikings.

Tom Brady is now the NFL’s leader in career wins by a quarterback with 201 as New England beat the Rams 26-10.

In the Sunday night game, the Seattle Seahawks rolled over the Carolina Panthers, 40-7.

Tonight, the Indianapolis colts visit the New York Jets.

The Illinois State women fought back from a big early deficit but ran out of gas late in  a 64-46 loss to Wisconsin.

The Illini women’s team fell to George Washington 72-56.

Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Washington are the four schools selected for the college football playoff. Clemson will play Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl while Alabama plays Washington in the Peach Bowl. The national championship game will be Jan. 9.
