Illinois State men’s basketball jumped out to a big lead and never looked back in an 81-72 win over Saint Joseph’s on Sunday afternoon at Redbird Arena. Paris Lee led the Redbirds with a career-high 24 points. With the win, the Birds move to 6-3 overall and 6-0 at Redbird Arena and will face off against Hawaii in Hawaii this Thursday night/Friday morning at 12:30.

The Illini women are at Central Michigan tonight.

The Packers defeated the Bears 30-27 on a 32-yard field goal by Mason Crosby as time expired at a frigid Soldier Field. The Bears had tied the game with a Connor Barth field goal with 1:19 remaining. Illinois State alum Cameron Meredith caught 9 passes for 104 yards.

Other NFL winners were the Colts, Ravens, Steelers, Titans, Giants, Texans, Bills, Falcons, Saints, Patriots, Raiders, Dolphins and the Cowboys in the Sunday night game over the Buccaneers 26-20. The Carolina Panthers visit the Washington Redskins in the Monday night game at 7 on WJBC.

The Jacksonville Jaguars fired head coach Gus Bradley after their one-point loss to the Titans to drop them to 2-12.

The Blackhawks topped the Sharks 4-1. Scott Darling turned in another 33-save performance in the fifth straight Hawks win. The Blues host the Edmonton Oilers tonight.

The Bulls host the Pistons tonight.
