While the holidays can feel hectic for the adults, kids can also feel the strain.
Joe Vaughan, executive director of IHR, gives tips for helping out the younger folks during the holidays.
“It’s all about predictability with kids, sitting down with them and letting them know how things are going to flow so they have some knowledge about how things are going to flow so they have some knowledge of what’s to happen. You’re able to control them a little bit better and they’ll be more at ease. The biggest thing we can do kids is be a good role model during the season. If we keep our head and stress level down and remember what the season is about, the kids will react to that in a positive way,” Vaughan said.
