With the end of the year less than two weeks away, the state’s days of having any sort of a budget are quickly dwindling.
State Representative Tom Bennett realizes the stop gap budget is ending Dec. 31, and the House isn’t back in session until the second week of January. Bennett said there isn’t just one answer to create a budget.
“It will probably take a mix of a number of things and we just have to see where we end up on this. I’m not a big fan of taxes. I think we pay enough the way it is today. We need to look at the overall picture of what’s happening, because we need something where we live within our means. You do, I do and people expect the State to do that. It’s past time,” Bennett said.
