The Livingston County Public Health Department recently received grant funding from the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation to purchase a portable electric cooler for the safe transportation of vaccine.

Health Education and Marketing Director Linda Rhodes describes what a difference the cooler will make.

“This grant means we were able to safely transport all types of vaccine out into the community. We did it this fall with the influenza vaccine and we’ll be doing it again as we approach the late summer and next fall with required school vaccine,” Rhodes said.
