In the Heart of Illinois, El Paso Gridley downed Prairie Central 42-32, Heyworth bested Flanagan-Cornell 67-53, it was GCMS over Fisher 62-49, LeRoy fell to Clinton, 79-60, Dee-Mack was upended by Illini Bluffs 56-48. Elsewhere, Tri-Point knocked off Clifton Central 68-64. Cornerstone Christian defeated Woodland 57-47.
In girls play, Dwight lost to Streator 61-57, Heyworth overcame Flanagan Cornell Woodland 56-46 and Bloomington turned back Mahomet Seymour, 59-47, as Purple Raider Ellie Weltha reached the 1,000-point mark for her career.
