A two-story farmhouse in Odell was ruled a complete loss after a Tuesday afternoon blaze.
According to Pontiac Fire Chief Scott Runyon, who was on the scene with Pontiac firefighters to assist Odell Fire Department, the blaze started about 12:45 and was believed to be caused from embers from a wood burning stove coming out through the chimney to the roof. High winds pushed the fire through the structure, making it difficult to fight.
Two people were home at the time of the fire and one minor injury to fire personnel was reported.
Along with Pontiac, Dwight, Cornell, Emington/Campus and Saunemin fire departments assisted Odell, as well as Duffy Ambulance Service.
