Illinois State women’s basketball lost at Northern Iowa 82-51. Sophomore Viria Livingston collected her second career double-double with a season-high 12 points and a team-best 10 rebounds in the loss.
In men’s basketball out of the Big Ten, Michigan beat Indiana 75-63 and Northwestern knocked off Number 7 Wisconsin 66-59. In the Missouri Valley Conference, Wichita State handled Loyola 81-64 and Northern Iowa won at Missouri State 55-52. Two other teams in the top 12 lost as Number 25 SMU beat Number 11 Cincinnati 60-51 to end Cincy’s 15-game winning streak, and Virginia Tech upset Number 12 Virginia 80-78.
Minnesota hammered the Bulls 117-89.
