The supersectional round takes over Classes 1A and 2A in boys high school basketball tonight. The Ridgeview Mustangs are playing for a return trip to the Class 1A finals in Peoria this weekend with a supersectional game tonight against the Norsemen of Newark on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena.

A Bloomington man who is considered one of the top innovators in golf has died. Mark Laesch died Saturday after a lengthy battle with ALS, Lou Gehrig’s disease. Laesch created Golfstat which the Golf Channel says quickly became one of the most reliable tools for anyone with interests in or ties to the college game.  Laesch’s father, uncle and sister had also died of ALS.
