The City of Pontiac came one step closer to building an outdoor aquatic center after last night’s City Council meeting.
FGM, pool consultants came in for a presentation for feasibility for the aquatic center, and the city requested the information printed and sent to them for a better review.
Mayor Bob Russell said the presentation was informative and the bad news is none of the four options given paid for themselves.
“We’re getting closer to having some answers,” Russell said. “We’re not going to go out and start digging in three weeks, but at least we’re getting the data we think we need to make an informed decision”
In other business, two peddler licenses were denied, due to not being turned in by the required deadline. A quick background check showed both of the people seeking the license had questionable records.
