Emily Grove of Pontiac has qualified for the track and field World Championships in London later this summer. Grove, a senior at the University of South Dakota, earned the final spot on the USA roster when she won a tiebreaker in the pole vault (15 feet, 1 inch) at the the USA Track and Field Championships in Sacramento, California. The World Championships are scheduled for Aug. 5-13 at Olympic Stadium.

Illinois Wesleyan graduate Jack Sikma has been chosen for induction into the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame in Evansville, Indiana in November. Sikma has a 7-time NBA All-Star and remains Wesleyan’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder.
