As Texans are beginning the recovery phase of the destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey over the past couple of days, the American Red Cross is accepting monetary donations that will be filtered straight to the people in the storm’s path.
The American Red Cross of the Heartland, with their office in Bloomington, is urging people to donate. They can stop by the office at 1 Westport Court in Bloomington, donate online at redcross.org, or call the office directly at 309-662-0500.
Other ways people can donate is to text HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Credit card donations can be made online at ghcf.org for a small fee. Checks or money orders can be mailed to the Greater Houston Community Foundation, 510 Woodway Drive, Suite 6000, Houston, TX, 77056.
You can also transfer cash by wire to JP Morgan Chase Bank N.A. The ABA number is 021000021 for credit to the Greater Houston Community Foundation. The A/C number is 849170287 for further credit to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Funds.
