The second annual Ride to Remember, a chance to remember love ones lost and reflect on their memories, starts at 10 a.m. Sunday at good Life in Fairbury.
This event began about eight years ago under another name and changed two years ago, giving a chance for everyone to remember people who are no longer with them and also honoring those who fell on 9/11.
Connie Cook, who organized this event with Craig Crutcher, said the event is free and for a good reason.
“We figure free everything, just because you can’t really put a price on losing someone and the memories are priceless. We just try to reach out. Everybody has so many stories to share and just that time with other people that understand the same loss and grieving that other people are going through – it just makes a difference,” Cook said.
Sign-ups begin at 10 a.m. at Good Life in Fairbury and with kickstands up at 11. There will be stops at Cherry Red Roasters in Dwight, EJ Karz in Verona, Boondocks in Seneca and the Finish Line in Chenoa, before finishing back at Good life for a free meal and door prizes.
