The 23rd annual Evergreen Cemetery walk kicks off Saturday for live performances at the cemetery in Bloomington.
Hannah Johnson, education program coordinator for the McLean County Museum of History, said these live, open air performances will be at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and also Saturday and Sunday October 7 and 8.
“Each year, we feature a selection of people, or as we call them, characters, who are buried in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, and we bring their story to life through costumed actors and their portrayals,” Johnson said.
This event is a joint effort with the McLean County Museum of History, Evergreen Memorial Cemetery and Illinois Voices Theatre Echoes. Tickets are being sold at the museum, cemetery, The Garlic Press and Casey’s Garden Shop, all in Bloomington/Normal.
