District 429 implementing YouTube for sporting events

With sports already underway at Pontiac Junior High School this year, some parents, family and friends are finding it difficult making it to all the games for one reason or another.

School Superintendent Brian Dukes said they’ve implemented a YouTube channel so people can watch games live or access them after the fact, which can all be found on their website.

“We have created a YouTube channel for families and friends who want to watch our games. Whether it’s the live stream that goes out when the game begins, or you miss the game because you were at work or you had something else going on and you want to watch the game that night or a few days later, parents are able to do that. It’s all located at pontiac429 YouTube. It’s something really exciting. It’s kind of our first stage to this. We’re really hoping, maybe into next year, we can get kids calling the games and get them some experience,” Dukes said.
