The University of Illinois Extension continues its collaboration with Dave’s Supermarket in Fairbury Thursday with its November program – “Buying on a Budget.”
Registered Dietician and the Extension’s Nutrition and Wellness Educator Jenna Smith described the hour long event at the store.
“I think a lot of times we thing that it costs a lot of money to eat healthy, but that’s not necessarily the case. We can look at different ways that we can try to choose healthier foods but at a lower price and I can help you do that,” Smith said.
This is a free event and people are asked to gather in the deli at Dave’s at 6 p.m. Dave’s Supermarket is located at 120 S. 3rd Street in Fairbury.
