The new rTown app, which features the City of Pontiac and all it has to offer, is taking off with more than 250 users in a little more than a month.

Liz Vincent with the City of Pontiac spoke at this week’s Kiwanis meeting and said what they really need at this point is for people who have the app to show others how easy it is to find information about the community and what it has to offer.

“If there are things you find useful about it, tell a couple friends about it because, really, word of mouth is really what gets the word out is really what gets the word out about things like this. We’re really looking for user input, so when people download it, we ask people to take some time, look through things. We want as much correct and up to date information on there as possible. But we’re really relying on the public to get that information to us. We’re really hoping there’s a lot of engagement from the community on that side,” Vincent said.
