Woodland students help ‘Restock Needs Closet’

Radio Pontiac and Bank of Pontiac’s collection for the Children’s Advocacy Center continues to grow with help from our listeners every day, including the students from Woodland District 5.

Key Club President Sydney Horaney and Advisor Vicki Malinowski brought three packed boxes to Radio Pontiac Monday after a school-wide collection to help the foster kids in the tri-county area.

Horaney said, while the Key Club is a service organization, it was nice to see everyone just as excited at helping these kids as Club members were.

“It was a really cool thing to see because we’re a really small school and it’s really easy to get everyone involved but just seeing how excited everyone else was about this project, not just Key Club, it was kind of something we’ve never really seen before. That was something that was really rewarding and just how excited everyone was to help out is always a great feeling,” Horaney said.

We are still accepting donations, and the complete list of needed items can be found at mcleancac.org.
