Medicare Parts C and D explained

By Cynthia Grau/WJEZ News

Applying for Medicare can be confusing to some, especially when there are four different parts to it.

Jack Myers with the Social Security Administration explains how Parts C and D work and how to go about getting them.

“Part A and B, you sign up through Social Security. If you want to sign up for C or D, you will do that through the private insurance companies that sell those plans, because those are overseen through Medicare. You can get information about those plans and what’s available through 1-800-medicare or medicare.gov,” Myers said.
