The Pontiac District 90 Board of Education accepted two resignations at its most recent meeting, one being their popular football coach.
Superintendent Jon Kilgore was a guest on a recent Community Forum where he explained that Buck Casson is still going to be a familiar face around the school.
“Buck Casson, regrettably, he has resigned. He will continue to teach at Pontiac Township High School and, as far as I know, continue to coach baseball. We wish he would have stayed in that position, but he has some things he has committed to and expected and at this point, he has decided to take a step back, but we certainly have a door open for him because he has certainly done a great job and I think he does a great job with our program,” Kilgore said.
The other resignation was from Jake Campbell, Fire Science Instructor at the Livingston County Career Center.
