Farmer First Aid coming back to Fairbury

By Cynthia Grau/WJEZ News

Back by popular demand, the Livingston County Farm Bureau and SELCAS are bringing back Farmer First Aid Tuesday in Fairbury.

Manager Jody Hughes explains everything that will be taught that day.

“So, as we all know, farming is an incredibly dangerous industry, and while we want you to prevent as many accidents as possible, they are going to happen. So, we want you to be able to deal with that situation until the professionals can get there. SELCAS is absolutely wonderful to be working with us. They focus on some different incidences that are more pertinent to farmers and the ag industry. Maybe it’s an animal bite or chemical burn. This is a free course and is limited to the first 30 people and you will go home with a free first aid kit,” Hughes said.
