In girls hoops, Flanagan-Cornell-Woodland has used its home court to its advantage to advance to the regional final. The Lady Falcons upset No. 2 seed Fieldcrest 42-34 to move on to tonight’s final against No. 6 seed Seneca.
 
Dwight topped Gardner 67-47 in the Illinois Lutheran Regional semifinals at Crete. And in the regional at Fisher, Lexington beat the host Bunnies 53-36 to advance to tonight’s final against Ridgeview, which topped LeRoy, 42-25.

Illinois Wesleyan failed to cool off a hot-shooting Wheaton team as the Thunder stormed to a 107-95 win at Shirk Center.
 
The Titan women suffer their first conference loss, 71-61, to Wheaton. The loss ends the Titans 16-game winning streak.

The Normal CornBelters have announced that ex-Major League slugger Jose Canseco will play for the team during a three game series in late June against the Florence Freedom. The 53-year old Canseco bashed 462 big league homers.
 
The Belters have also added former big league pitcher Kyle Farnsworth to the Legends lineup for its Aug. 4 showcase at the Corn Crib.
