Family Care Center looking for donations

The Livingston Family Care Center has been a part of the county since 1993, and is available for uninsured adults in the county.

Board Member Chris Myers said the Center was created for those adults to be able to get the health services they need.

“Health insurance is very costly and not everybody can afford it, depending on the job they hold, so that it’s less costly for them to pay the fine than to have health insurance. Again, this is just a clinic that was founded years ago to provide what service we can with what we have,” Myers said.

The Center is a not-for-profit organization run strictly by donations, which they are currently accepting. Cash, office items or hygiene items can be dropped off at 305 W. Madison Street in Pontiac. For more information or to make an appointment, call 842-1441.
