The University of Illinois has released a study indicating there is support for the Illini to sponsor a men’s Division One hockey program. The report that was commissioned by the NHL, NHL Players Association and College Hockey says the university appears to have a foundation in place to develop a program that could becoming financially viable and competitive in a relatively short amount of time.
