There will be no postseason for the Redbirds men’s basketball team. Illinois State did not receive a bid to the National Invitational Tournament so the Redbirds season ends at 18-15. Coach Dan Muller had said ISU would not accept a bid to any other tournament. No Valley teams were chosen for the NIT. Drake accepted a bid to the CIT and will play Abilene Christian in the first round tonight.

Former NFL tight end and Dwight native Clay Harbor will be one of 25 contestants on the upcoming season of “The Bachelorette.” Harbor will be competing on season 14 of the show, vying for the heart of Becca Kufrin. Harbor played football at Missouri State and has played for five NFL team. The 30-year-old Harbor was on injured reserve last season with the New Orleans Saints.
