The Pontiac Rec Center is hosting two Easter Egg hunts Saturday, March 31, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Rec Center and Draco Park in Pontiac.

Director Taylor Baxter explains what’s happening during the special hunt for the children.

“We have quite a day planned. It’s going to be open to kids of all ages. We’re going to have to section it off between the older kids and the younger kids, so the older kids don’t steal all the eggs from the little guys. We’ll have different sections, music playing, maybe some food and snacks, so it’s really just a day to come out and enjoy the nice weather and be there with your family,” Baxter said.

Baxter said they couldn’t leave out the family members with four legs, either.

“We have, out at Draco Park at the Rec Plex, we’re going to have a Doggie Easter Egg Hunt, so you’re going to be able to come out with your little pup or big pup, and we’re going to separate them big dogs with big dogs and little ones with the little ones. We’re going to have dog treats, sponsored by the Animal Wellness Center, and we’re going to have the treats inside the eggs,” Baxter said.
