Thoughts on Pontiac Community Heart and Soul kickoff

The Pontiac Heart and Soul program had its official kickoff last Wednesday and was attended by a big crowd of people looking to learn what it was all about.

As a person who has been a part of the Pontiac community for well over a decade, our very own Cat went to learn as much as she could about it.

“They go off of three principles, and that is involve everyone, focus on what matters and play the long game, so what are we looking at doing long term? I just thought it was a really interesting event and an opportunity for people to become involved and have their voices heard,” Cat said.

She also described how people can get involved or learn more about the whole initiative.

“If you decide, ‘You know what? After researching this a little bit, I’m really interested in it,’ or ‘I’m really interested in more information,’ you can email [email protected]. You can just go check it out and say you’re interested and want more information, and of course, we’ll let people know as we know of more events, because they’re going to have more events like this,” Cat said.
