Former Bloomington guard Ilijah Donnelly is coming to Illinois State to play for Dan Muller’s Redbirds as a preferred walkon. Donnelly is transferring from Illinois-Springfield where he’s spent the last two years. Donnelly will have to sit out next season.
The Bloomington Edge is hosting a free high school football coaching clinic on Friday at the Chateau Hotel in Bloomington. The Central Illinois High School Recruiting Showcase will take place on Saturday at Normal Community High. More than a dozen schools, including Illinois State, will evaluate high school players who are interested in playing collegiately.
