The Illinois Department of Transportation recently announced the 116 Union Pacific Railroad grade crossing in Pontiac will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. Monday. The crossing will be closed for approximately four days to allow for the repair of the crossing.
This crossing is near Donnell’s Printing and Office Supply and David’s Restaurant and parallels Vermillion Street at the Howard Street crossing.
Eastbound traffic is instructed to head south on Ladd Street to Washington Street, then east on Washington to Court Street, then north on Court Street and back to 116.
Westbound traffic is asked to continue north on Division Street to West Cleary Street, then west on Cleary to Ladd Street, then south on Ladd and back to 116.
