A body was found in a Grundy County pond Thursday and the Grundy County Corner released the name of the deceased over the weekend.
According to a press release from Coroner John Callahan, the body of 45-year-old Terry Edwards of Michigan was positively identified through tattoos and other physical evidence. He confirmed Brown’s vehicle was found in early December in a ditch just off Interstate 80 at the Seneca exchange. At the time police arrived, nobody was around the vehicle.
Callahan said at this point, it is uncertain as to the events the evening the car was found and since then. He said when they have a death investigation like this one where there were no witnesses, it’s difficult to pinpoint the actions of the deceased.
This incident remains under investigation and is pending toxicology tests.
