PONTIAC – Wolf Creek Golf Club will be hosting a fundraiser for St. Paul School in Odell this Sunday.

While speaking with WJEZ’s Cat Coppinger, Peg Doran and Kathleen Stadel explained the money brought in during the golf outing will help fund major projects that are planned at the school.

“This summer we’re starting some big-time projects at the school,” said Stadel. “Updating our lighting, we’re always updating technology, doing some painting, we had to install a new fire system, there’s just lots of things. But mostly it goes to help keep tuition very affordable for any student who would like to attend.”

Doran and Stadel noted the golf outing has a secondary purpose as well – to celebrate the memory of two people who had a lasting impact on the school.

“We are so excited about promoting the school and doing what we can to help benefit the students of St. Paul School,” Stadel explained. “It’s also a memorial for Mike Moyemont and Julie Sullivan, who were both beloved members of our school community.”

Sullivan taught at St. Paul School for 25 years. Moyemont was the parent of a student who is attending St. Paul School.

Money raised at the outing will also go to the Julie Sullivan Scholarship Fund, which is given to students who need assistance. The outing starts at 8:30 a.m.
