In June 2015, the Illinois Liquor Control Commission (ILCC) conducted compliance checks around the state and visited 324 businesses licensed to sell liquor. They cited 43 for violations of liquor control laws. Eighty-seven percent of the licensees visited complied with Illinois liquor laws and refused to serve underage customers.
This is a monthly aggregated report of all the underage compliance investigations that occurred in the month of June.
In other news, Illinois is now on the 13th day of the State’s new fiscal year without a budget, with no resolution in sight. The First District Appellate Court issued an order Thursday morning prohibiting the State from issuing paychecks to state employees until an appropriation is approved. They will allow the State to pay for certain items in order to stay in compliance with federal consent decrees.
Thursday, the House passed a one month budget that only funded vital services and state employee’s salaries. The bill passed 71-19-13, with all Democrats voting in favor of the measure, and 11 Republicans not voting. The bill will return to the Senate where they will likely vote on it on tomorrow.
