PONTIAC – College students involved at the Engle Lane Theatre will soon be able submit an application for a scholarship for the upcoming school year.

In a news release, the Community Players of Streator will be giving out scholarships to any college student who has been involved with the Engle Lane Theatre in the past five years. The applications are available to students enrolled in both two year and four year colleges or universities. Students who are interested in applying for a scholarship will be able to do so online beginning on August 20.

The Community Player of Streator have been awarding scholarships to students since 1958. The organization has given out nearly $25,000 to over 100 scholarship recipients in the past five years.

Applications can be found at www.englelane.org.

Scholarship applications need to be submitted on or before September 16.
