The Greater Livingston County Economic Development Council is reflecting on its summer improvements.

In particular, the GLCEDC made the addition of new directors to its board including Ray Magee, Taylor Smith and Bennie Hardin.  With the help of Livingston County the group was also able to award an Economic Incentive Grant to Anthony Liftgates of Pontiac.  The grant for fifty-thousand dollars will help the company as they plan to hire 10 new employees.

A second grant was awarded to the Prairie Central Community Unit School District for the purchase of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) equipment, curriculum enhancement, and professional development training.
