Fiscal Year 2019 is on an even keel for District 90 as the Board of Education approved a balanced budget Monday.

Superintendent Jon Kilgore said operating funds for the district are balanced and the board is keeping a conservative mindset as it continues to advance educational practices.

A school calendar change was also approved on Monday.

The change was needed after a crossover in dates was found between District 90 and District 429 for October’s parent-teacher conferences.

The change means a non-school day for Pontiac Township High School on October 19 and student attendance day on October 26.
