A Livingston County 4-H member was part of a dairy team that finished in the top 20 teams in the nation at the National 4-H Dairy Judging Contest in Madison, Wisconsin. Addison Raber of Gridley finished 10th in the nation in the Ayrshire breed division and 24th in the Guernsey division. As a team, the Illinois contingent finished 10th in the Jersey division.
The Illinois team consisted of Raber, Taylor Huels of Bond County, Jeff Kern of Randolph County, and Rachel Scidmore of Carroll County. Overall, the Illinois squad finished 16th in the nation. The students are coached by University of Illinois Extension 4-H Dairy Coordinator Dave Fischer.
