Two central Illinois residents have been chosen to serve as Associate Judges on the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, which covers Livingston County.
Circuit judges picked Scott Kording and Scott Black to fill the positions.
The judgeships became available after the retirement of Associate Judges David Butler and Lee Ann Hill.
Kording is a Bloomington native who attended Illinois State University as an undergraduate and received a law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law. Kording is currently an attorney at the law firm of Meyer Capel.
Black also resides in Bloomington, with no relation to the Bloomington Alderman, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. Black obtained a law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law as he currently is employed with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
The Eleventh Judicial Circuit covers Livingston, McLean, Logan, Woodford, and Ford Counties.
