Officer Joshua Bray of the Pontiac Police Department has earned the title Officer of the Year for 2021. Pontiac Police Major Dan Davis says Bray is a 3-year veteran of the department who’s dedicated himself to self-improvement and career development. Davis says Bray adapted to conditions imposed by the pandemic and thrived in that environment. Officer Bray is currently working toward certification as a firearms instructor and has been previously recognized by the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists.
Officer of the year nominations are submitted by members of the police department. Officer Bray was nominated by two supervisors and received unanimous approval at a recent staff meeting.
