Area nursing homes holding Halloween celebrations

The Trick or Treat Safety Program will be held at Pontiac Healthcare and Rehabilitation Saturday 5:30 to 7.

Activity Director Kathy Finkenbinder said this event is coming back for another year with many things for families to enjoy.

“The kids not only get treats but a lot of tricks throughout the building. There will be treats throughout the building. They’ll leave with 80 pieces of candy. The first 500 kids will leave with a coupon for a Dilly Bar from the Dairy Queen as well as food coupons from McDonalds,” Finkenbinder said.

Pontiac Healthcare and Rehabilitation is located at 300 W. Lowell Avenue in Pontiac.

 

 

Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan is hosting its Halloween event Saturday from 2 to 4 in Flanagan.

Becky Wilder, Director of Life Enrichment and Social Service at Good Samaritan Home Flanagan, said the event is a fun one for families and residents alike.

“During the party, we have ten stations of different games, a photo booth, movie, face painting, apple bobbing, an old fashioned cake walk, coloring table and frosting your own cookie table,” Wilder said.

The event will be held at 200 N. Tina Drive in Flanagan, right behind the main building. Admission is a nonperishable food item for their local food pantry.

 

 

Woodridge Supportive Living in Pontiac is holding its Halloween trick or treating event from 5 to 7 Saturday.

Activity Director Jessica Armor said there are many events and even a possibility to win a huge prize.

“We’re also going to have several game stations set up throughout the building with prizes. We have a coloring and costume contest that is broken up in three age groups, so there’s something for everyone. Also, when you stop out, make sure you get your entry in because we’re going to have a grand prize drawing for matching Amazon tablets,” Armour said.

Woodridge Supportive Living is located at 120 N. Deerfield Road in Pontiac.
